Overview

AevoPDF ("the App") is developed by Ascension Labs. This privacy policy explains how we handle your information when you use our App. Package name: com.ascensionlabs.pdfunlock.

PDFs and Passwords

The App unlocks and locks PDF files on your device. All PDF processing occurs locally. PDF bytes and passwords are never uploaded to Ascension Labs or any Ascension Labs server. There is no account and no cloud sync for your documents.

Storage

Unlocked or locked copies are saved directly to your device's local storage under Downloads/AevoPDF. Original files are left in place. The optional password dictionary is stored only in app-private storage on your device and is excluded from cloud backup. Preferences, credit balances, and purchase status are stored locally on your device.

Advertising

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements on the free plan (a banner, and optional rewarded ads that grant credits). Where required, Google's User Messaging Platform may collect consent. AdMob may collect and use certain data to serve ads, including:

• Advertising ID: A unique, user-resettable identifier for advertising purposes.
• Device information: Device type, operating system version, and general location (at the city level).
• Ad interaction data: Information about ads viewed and clicked.

Lite and Premium remove ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting your device's Settings > Privacy > Ads and enabling "Opt out of Ads Personalization." For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.

In-App Purchases

The App offers optional in-app purchases through Google Play Billing (Lite and Premium one-time unlocks). Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Google Play. We do not collect or store any payment information. Purchase status is stored locally on your device (and via Play) to unlock features.

Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit:

• Personal information (name, email, phone number) for an AevoPDF account (there is none)
• Location data (beyond what AdMob collects for ad targeting)
• Usage analytics or tracking data for Ascension Labs
• Your PDF contents or passwords to our servers

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The ads shown are not personalized for children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
